Society History

The Society was formed in 1985 by and for people with an
interest in philatelic history of the region.
This includes postage and revenue stamps, postal stationery,
post offices and postmarks, postal rates and mail routes and often
 the historical background to the region known at various times as

Stellaland
British Bechuanaland
Bechuanaland Protectorate
and Botswana.

Membership is about 100 worldwide, with 50% in the UK and Europe
 40% in southern Africa and 10% in North America.
